How to Pray for Royal Servants

As the summer quickly approaches, our need for your prayers increases. While we definitely love and need your prayers all year long for our ministry, the months leading up to the summer are some crucial times for Staff, Students, and all the miscellaneous things that go into getting ready for Royal Servants.

So you might wonder, “How can I best pray for Royal Servants?”

If you have followed us on social media for the past couple of years, you might remember that we have a series that we do called ‘Pray As We Prepare’ where we share prayer prompts a couple of times a week and invite you to pray along with us over those specific things. 

Since not everyone is on social media (but if you are, make sure you follow us!), we don’t want you to miss out on the opportunity to pray with us as we prepare for another summer. 

Below you’ll find the prayer prompts and dates that we’ll be posting on social media. Put reminders on your phone or write these into your calendars, and let’s join together in prayer for Royal Servants 2026!

Staff 4/17

For those on Reign Staff, the summer starts as early as the September before. There’s so much to do to prepare for the summer, and things really start to pick up now as the Reign Staff get ready to start heading to Training Camp the week of May 29th! 

• Pray for us as we make final preparations, both for the ministry and personally, as we prepare to be away from home for two months. 
• Pray for our Reign Staff with children as they have a lot to pack and get ready to bring the Reign kids to camp. 
• Pray for the Reign Staff as they finalize teachings, connect with overseas ministry partners, and support their teams! 
• Pray for our full-time Staff by name: Scott and Nichole Anderson, Jack and Kelsie Becker, Jeff and Heidi Bell, Hank and Jackie Dahl, Holly Duke, Molly Fisk, Darla Hanson, Hannah Han, Jeremy and Tiffany Hinshaw, Kaylee Hofsink, Louie and Sandy Inks, Tom and Melia Ives, Beka Kopenski, Linda MacDonell, Jerry Skifstad, Michele Stevens, and Tim and Annika Warren. 
• Pray for our Associate Staff by name: Keni Boyle, Donny Abbott, Kara Hippen, Grayson Mounts, and Wes and Connie Peacock.

Students 4/22

Our students are why we do what we do. This summer is about discipling and equipping our students in their faith and in sharing that faith with others.

• Pray for the students who are coming on Royal Servants this summer as they fundraise, pack, and prepare to leave home - many for the first time! Students arrive the weekend of June 20th!
• Do you know a student traveling this summer? Pray for them by name today!

Summer Staff 4/29

Our Summer Staff play a key role in the mentoring and discipling of our students, but this summer is as much for them as it is for the students they are leading. 

• Pray for them as they, too, fundraise, pack, and prepare to arrive at Training Camp the weekend of June 13th! 
• Pray for them as they get ready to lead their small groups, that they will have patience, wisdom, and deep compassion for their students!
• Know a Summer Staff who is traveling with us this summer? Pray for them by name today!

Senior Staff 5/1

Our teams rely on our Senior Staff to create meal plans, disperse spending money, and keep track of the overall health of the team. 

There’s a lot that goes into preparing for a role as a Senior Staff member. 

• Pray for them as they fundraise, pack, and head to Training Camp the weekend of June 7th to begin learning their roles and prepare for Summer Staff and student arrivals!
• Know someone who is traveling as a Senior Staff this summer? Pray for them by name today!

Training Camp 5/6

Some might see Training Camp as kicking off on student arrival day, but this year we have staff landing on site the week of May 29th! 

Pray for Training Camp:

• The work projects that happen in the first couple of weeks to get the physical grounds ready
• The weather during June - IYKYK

Fundraising 5/13

This ministry relies on the faithful giving of so many of you - whether you are donating directly to Reign, you are a Ministry Partner for someone on staff, or you give one-time gifts to students and staff coming for just the summer - you are making a difference!

• Pray for all of those who spend time fundraising to make this summer of ministry happen. 
• Pray for the Reign Staff who rely on monthly support, which allows them to work for Reign all year long, as well as travel most summers.
• Pray for our Associates, Senior Staff, Summer Staff, and Students who fundraise for their trip each summer.

The Ministry 5/15

There are a lot of moving parts to make a Royal Servants summer happen. 

• Pray for our Finance department as they crunch numbers and process donations.
• Pray for our Admin department as they receive all the paperwork that students and staff send in.
• Pray for our Media department as they create ways to engage with alumni and spread the word about what we do.
• Pray for our Recruiting department as they spend many days and weeks in the year traveling for speaking engagements to share about Royal Servants with more students and adults.  

Hearts 5/20

Royal Servants isn’t just about outward expressions of our faith, but there is a lot of heart work involved as well. Whether it is through personal quiet time with the Lord or a large group teaching on truth in the Bible, we hope our students come away from the summer changed and walking closer with the Lord. 

• Pray for open hearts for students to understand and accept the truth of the gospel.
• Pray for them as they share that truth with others overseas and even when they return home after their trip.

Teachings 5/22

The teachings don’t stop once we get overseas. We spend all summer long pouring into our teams with teachings on topics such as being disciples, prayer, worship, the church, and our identity in Christ - just to name a few! 

• Pray that these teachings will impact our students in positive ways!
• Pray for those who will be facilitating these teachings so that they will be able to clearly communicate the teachings.

Overseas 5/27 

Training Camp is a special place, vital in preparing individuals and teams to head overseas. 

Today, would you pray for:

• Our teams as they travel overseas at the end of June and return home at the end of July. 
• Our Ministry Partners all over the world, with whom we will be encouraging and working alongside. 
• For the people our teams will be interacting with all summer long.

Worship 5/29

Many of you know the impact that our times of worship at Training Camp can have on a student’s heart and mind. 

• Pray today for those times of worship, both at Training Camp and overseas.
• Pray that they would not only be sweet times of fellowshipping and worshiping as a team, but that individual hearts would connect with their Father in praise and worship.

Skills Groups 6/3

Skills Groups are one of the most useful tools we use on Royal Servants to take with us overseas to draw crowds and engage in gospel-centered conversations. 

• Pray for our students who may be nervous to step into drama, dance, or puppets this summer.
• Pray for staff and leaders who put together the Skills Groups and teach the students at Training Camp.
• Pray for the people all around the world who will be watching and having conversations with our students based on the dramas that will be shared.
• Pray for the children who will feel the love of Jesus through those on the puppet teams.
