Europe Team in Action

After a very long Travel Day to get to  Tirana, Albania (38 hours due to a delayed bus when we arrived in Dubrovnik), we are finally adjusted, and the Europe family is in full ministry mode.

We are just about to begin our third evening of street ministry in the busy public square in the center of Tirana.

It has been exciting to see the students embrace the opportunities to share their faith so quickly. The motivation was certainly spurred on when two of our students had the privilege of leading a family to Christ on the first night of ministry!

Our students have also enjoyed getting to know our ministry hosts from the church plant that we are working with here in Tirana. On Thursday, we were able to work with them to paint a room and clean up the yard and garden area of their new building that they have purchased and are looking forward to opening as a church soon.  Tomorrow evening, July 4, they have asked us to host an America-themed celebration as an outreach. Summer staff has been planning for it, and the team is excited about the opportunity to possibly impact the neighborhood in advance of the new church opening.

The Europe family intentionally travels more than the other RS teams do - so as we are just getting settled here in Tirana, we are also preparing to move. On Sunday we will go to our second destination , a small village about 45 minutes from Tirana. There, we will be working with a Missionary Couple (one of whom is a former Royal Servant). Our ministry will be focused towards the children of their small community.

I could not be more proud of the way our students are reacting to the fast-paced schedule and with enthusiasm to each new opportunity that comes our way. That is just the way that RS Europe rolls!
