On the Way Home

The Europe Family wrapped up our time together with some worship and communion that ended a couple of hours ago. We will have an early morning wake-up, a quick breakfast, and be on our way for yet another bus ride. This will be the final one that will take us from the church we stayed in out side of Dublin  back to the airport for our flight home.

The end of a Royal Servants summer is always an interesting mix of emotions for the team members.  Here are a few examples:

- Excited to go home, and yet sad to be leaving the friends they have grown so close to.

- Looking forward to serving Jesus when they get home, and yet nervous about how they will follow through by applying what they learned.

-Making commitments to continue growing in their faith, and yet worrying that without the focussed environment it will be hard to keep up with their new habits.

Since we started debriefing, we learned about the impact we made in the village of Vlashaj, Alabania. Our ministry partner sent us a picture of some of the local students and children who had attended the Kids’ Camp. After seeing our drama presentation a couple of times, they were motivated to learn it themselves. We pray that they will also be motivated to use it to reach out to their friends in the community!

As we go home today, we pray that everything that we talked about this week during our debriefing time will help them navigate well and set them up for a successful transition to life and ministry at home. We have had a great summer of service, and they now know how to make it count as they pursue a lifetime of ministry! I am confident that they can and will choose to pursue Jesus as they have done for the last five weeks!
