Costa Rica is heading to Cachi!

The Costa Rica team has loved our time at Camp McConell. We spent the first week of ministry painting the different cabin rooms, cleaning, and getting to know some of the church staff and their kids who live at the camp.

We had teachings every night, quiet time, and small group time. The ticos who have joined us have been learning so many of our Royal Servants teachings and two of the young women, Brethany and Yiré, memorized Identity in Christ in English. They also joined our students’ small group time and have been discussing what the Lord is teaching them with our students. Both our students and the ticos have been a blessing to one another!

Our team experienced their first church service here and they got to do performances, share testimonies, and sing two worship songs in English for the congregation. It’s always amazing to worship with other believers in another country; different languages but worshiping the same God. The ticos have such a passion for the Lord it is contagious. The way they worship the Lord is raw, beautiful, and passionate.

We cleaned our way out of the camp this morning and are headed to Pastor Alfonso and Grace’s church in the mountains in Cachí. First, we will take the team to an outdoor market where they can buy some handmade Costa Rican souvenirs, and enjoy a little American fast food.

We are so excited to get to play some fútsol (indoor soccer) games in Cachí, meet more of the youth group, and build relationships with the people and shopkeepers in the community.

The team is doing great and are healthy! They’re loving the variety of ministry, food, and conversations in Spanish.

Thank you for praying for us!
