A Rigid Stance on Total Flexibility

As we wrapped up our time in Kathmandu we were praising God for the ministry opportunities that had come our way the last couple of days. On one of those we visited a slum with the smallest stage known to mankind but packed out with the loudest children that ever-what-was. Saige, Harper, and Daisy, with the rest of the Dance team kept it together on the small platform and made the proper adjustments to pull off their performances flawlessly, well, almost. They opened up the door for us to share the gospel then they loved on children with the craziest balloon animal bash that ever-what-was.

Our boyband also came up with a new dance and song that was a hit. They performed it at that slum for the first time but, since then, have performed it at our second church, another school and the leper colony we visited. Eli, Talon, Angel, Gabe and Henry, our second version of Wrong Direction (see last blog) and their dancing prowess is wowing the crowds wherever we go.

As we headed down the mountain from Kathmandu valley to Chitwan, which is the jungle that the book and movie The Jungle Book was written about, we settled in here to take a load off for a day, or so I thought. Here we continued our teaching times but also blew off steam at the pool, viewed Rhino’s in the lush green spaces and went on an elephant ride in a torrential downpour. Which brings to my previous thought, as the rains came down the floods came up and the bridge out of Chitwan was under water so, we had to stay for another 24 hrs, which did put a cramp in our schedule. However we have figured out a way to get into the ministry we already had planned, as well as the teachings, so we will not miss anything. Yay! for adjusting on the fly.

God does have a funny way of using the things that make us uncomfortable and doing good things with them. This delay was no exception. Andrew was able to take advantage of the snafu in our schedule and get into an awesomely long conversation about the gospel with about four of the kitchen staff at the hotel in Chitwan. Pray for these men!

As the water subsided we hopped on the bus and we are now in Pokhara and will be visiting a special needs school today, where we have shared the gospel in the past. It's going to be a good day!
