Bio-Laura-Buchelt.jpg

Laura may be the newest edition to the Reign Ministries staff family, but is not a new comer. This summer marks her seventh summer with Royal Servants.  She starting in 2001 when she was a senior in high school. She has served with teenagers over the last six years and graduated in 2007 with a degree in youth ministry from the Moody Bible Institute after transferring from Bethel University in Minnesota.

Laura's passion is discipleship and developing student leaders. This passion has led to many late night phone calls with students whom she refers to as her kids. Laura believes that it is the students who confidently understand what and why they believe are those who will change their generation for the cause of Christ.

With 25 countries under her belt, Laura loves travel and adventure whenever the opportunity arises. Spur of the moment road trips or well thought out international travel energizes her. Most of her international travel has been around Europe on one of her many Euro-quest summers, but her '08 trip to Costa Rica sparked a new love for Latin America. She also has a deep desire to see and establish true Christ centered communities within the church and in her friendships. Laura has found that both growth and lifelong bonds come when friends push each other closer to the Lord.

Since graduating from Moody, Laura has been living in Northwest Indiana working for the Geek Squad at Best Buy and leading the high school ministries at her Church.

She joined Reign Staff in October of 2008 and is currently raising support with plans to move to Minneapolis once her support team is in place. Laura first knew God was calling her to full time vocational ministry while on a Royal Servants trip in 2002. Royal Servants has been a place where she has seen God work in mighty ways in her own life, as well as the lives of others. After trying her hand in many different areas of ministry, she found that her passions and gifts lined up well with a role on Reign staff.

Bio-Holly-Duke.jpg

Holly's first mission trip was in 1994 to Mexico after graduating high school. There she promised herself she would never work in missions. After graduating from Briercrest College in 1998 she knew she couldn't do anything but disciple teens. She spent a couple of years working in the college's academic office and in the campus high school girl's residential dorms.

A friend recommended Reign Ministries and she participated as a staff discipler on the Ireland mission trip in the summer of 2000. As a result she moved to Northern Ireland to work with students training and preparing to serve all over the world. Holly returned home and joined the Scotland mission trip as a team leader assistant as she considered joining staff, which she did in 2002. Holly loves walking with students as they encounter God and helping them make their faith their own.

Despite the promise to never be involved in missions work, God has opened her eyes and broken her heart for people all over the world. Her time with Reign Ministries has brought her to the United Kingdom, West Africa, and China.

Holly has worked with students for over 10 years.  She also serves part time at Chilliwack Alliance Church (in British Columbia, Canada) as a youth pastor. She is convinced of the potential in students--when they can grasp their faith and understand how God sees them--to be an unstoppable force in radically impacting this world for the Kingdom.

Team Leader Dave Eikenberry

Dave and Vicky are high school sweethearts who married 29 years ago and are more in love than ever!  God has blessed them with a beautiful 24 year old daughter named Danielle and three fine sons, Aaron (22), Brandon (19) and Jeremy (17).  Having teenage boys at home helps guarantee that the adventure Dave and Vicky seek is never far away!

After earning degrees from Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music and Cornerstone University, Dave has been a full time youth pastor serving churches in Southern California and Michigan for nearly 25 years.  His #1 passion is helping students treasure God above all things.  He's convinced that as long as there are people who do not know, worship and enjoy their creator, we must do all that we can to point them towards Jesus Christ!  Vicky is an occupational therapist assistant.  When not working and wearing "wife and mom hats" she loves to be actively involved in student ministry.  She especially loves "connecting with" and discipling senior high girls.

The Eikenberrys have been involved in short term ministry in rural Mexico, Mexico City, Alaska, England, Ireland, Nepal, the Netherlands, and Portugal.  Having joined the Royal Servants staff in 2004, Dave enjoys challenging students to "take a step of faith in response to God's prompting and experience a new level of spiritual growth through a summer with Royal Servants".  After leading teams to Nepal in 07 and 08 and seeing first hand the wonderful ministry that God does through Royal Servants there, Dave is really excited about leading the 2009 Nepal team!  He believes that God will once again "stretch the students and staff" and glorify Himself in other amazing ways through this year's team!

Dave is our mission trip leader to Nepal.

Bio-Margaret-Fischer.jpg

If you ask Margaret when she first knew she wanted to work in youth ministry, she would tell you it was when she was in Sr. High Youth group. After graduating high school, she joined the youth ministry leadership team at her local church, and never looked back.

In 2006, after assisting in leading mission trips for the youth group all over the U.S. for six years, Margaret began to feel a calling on her life to go into fulltime missions. After hearing the testimony from a friend about a life changing summer with Royal Servants, Margaret joined Reign Ministries' staff and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2008 to work fulltime in the Reign Ministries headquarters. She feels blessed to also serve in senior leadership for teams over the summer. Margaret also continues to live out her passion for youth all year round as a high school girl's small group leader.

Team Leader Matt Halseth

Matt and Jenni married in 2001 and have loved serving together in full-time ministry ever since.  They are both passionate about seeing God work through youth and international missions!  God has richly blessed them with three precious (and energetic!) little ones; Nathan (6), Abby (4) and Joshua (1).

After college Matt worked at an architectural firm for 4 years.  During that time he had the opportunity to serve on a short-term mission trip in the mountains of Romania, teaching Romanian students how to ski and having opportunities to share Christ… how cool is that!  Well, needless to say, he got hooked on missions and God led him to change careers.  Jenni's first mission experience was to Haiti at age 14.  Throughout high school and college she served on more than a dozen mission trips, including one full year in Mozambique, Africa.

Prior to joining Reign Ministries staff in 2005, Matt served for 6+ years with Campus Crusade for Christ in both the JESUS Film Ministry and Student Venture International Projects.  His work took him all over the world to more than 30 countries, including short-term mission trips with teenagers to China, Kenya, Russia, and Slovakia.  On the last two summers Matt has served in Ireland and Nepal on Royal Servants teams.

Matt and Jenni are passionately committed to Royal Servants because they believe it is one of the best mission opportunities available for students.  They have seen firsthand how powerful a Royal Servants experience can be in the molding and shaping of a young person's life.  They also know how many people around the world are in need of God's loving touch and are humbled when he gives the opportunity to serve!

Matt leads our Sierra Leone, Africa mission trip in the summers.

Job and Bethany are especially passionate about seeing Christ's church grow.  They believe the key lies in today's youth--inspiring them to catch a vision for how God wants to use them to expand His message across the nations.  During the year they coordinate sprint trips into the city and are training to lead mission trips in the summer.  They love students, camping and serious coffee.

Team-Leader-Louie.jpg

Rev. Louis Inks is founder and President of Reign Ministries.  He has a passion for discipleship and seeing students impact the world through missions.  He has been in youth ministry for 52 years and served as a youth pastor for 24 of those years.  Louie has spent many summers serving in Israel and many other countries.  He challenges students to own their faith and understand the philosophies and principles behind their choices. Louie views effective communication and servant leadership as critical tools in the hands of today's students.  He seeks to develop hearts that drive social and world change by impacting students at the core of their spiritual development.  As a result of his leadership experience and desire to train the next generation of leaders, he formed the Nehemiah Team.  This team focuses on asking students to go deeper into missions and their relationship with the Lord.  The team is comprised of alumni students who exhibited the desire and maturity to serve on this team.

Louie begins the training by dialoging with the students on the year before the team through a series of shared studies and applied projects.  These studies form the base of discussion when the team gathers at Training Camp.  The team begins the overseas portion of their training in Israel.  Louie has developed deep friendships with many people in and around Jerusalem during his 25 trips to Israel. Through his friendships he is able to lead the students through the life of Jesus and opens their eyes to the unique customs and lifestyles of Jesus birthplace.  From Israel, Louie leads the team throughout Europe sharing Christ with the post-Christian people located around major European cities.

Louie enjoys traveling worldwide to speak to churches and schools about missions and leadership.  He loves his family deeply and is especially fond of his great-granddaughter who brings him constant joy!  With deep sadness, Louie walked the road of grief as he lost his beloved wife of almost 50 years this past year to cancer.  Peg and Louie founded Reign together and she shared his passion for reaching students and seeing God at work through missions.  She was a faithful prayer warrior and will be missed.

Team-Leader-Tom.jpg

Tom and his wife, Melia, have been on staff with Reign Ministries since 1983.  They have two grown children, Megan and Alex, and they live in Minneapolis.  Tom and Melia are actively involved in their local church and currently lead a Parents of Teenagers group.  Tom also leads a small group of high school guys, and Melia facilitates a women's prayer and accountability group.

Tom's passion is to see students walk away from those easy cultural habits that don't please the Father, and to facilitate going deeper in their knowledge and love of Him.  He wants students to be immersed in the Word, to experience true community, to be awed by His love for them, and to undergo authentic transformation.

Tom has led numerous mission trips over the years. Besides many EuroQuest trips, he has led mission trips to Russia, Romania, England, Nepal, as well as two leadership intensive, around-the-world trips.  He currently leads the mission trip to China.

Tom is the Director of Royal Servants and a member of Reign Ministries' Executive Leadership Team.  He spends most of his time working out of Reign Ministries' headquarters, speaking in youth groups, and setting up international ministry opportunities.

Clayton-Lott.jpg

Clayton grew up in Huntington Beach, California. Throughout junior high and high school he participated in many mission trips, including participation on the Royal Servants Australia and Nehemiah Teams. During a two-week trip to Turkey, God began to break Clayton’s heart for world evangelism and student discipleship.

In response to his call to ministry, Clayton moved from warm, sunny Southern California to St. Paul Minnesota to attend Bethel University, where he earned undergraduate degrees in Biblical/Theological Studies and Philosophy, with a minor in religious studies. His passion for students played out in his numerous youth ministry internships at Meadow Creek Church in Andover, MN; Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville, MN; and Adoration Church in Savage, MN.

Clayton’s passion for music and ministry put him in a unique position to reach student musicians for Christ, leading worship teams at youth groups and urging artists to use their gifts to spread the Kingdom of God. He is truly in his “sweet spot” when teaching students to engage culture and bring the light of Christ to a dying world.

Bio-Brian-Bethany-Meaden.jpg

In the summer of 2002, Brian and Bethany met on a mission trip to Europe with Royal Servants; and four years later, they were married.

Brian grew up in a pastor's family in Washington.  During high school, he went on four mission trips with Royal Servants to various countries.  These trips helped develop his relationship with Jesus Christ and expose him to the great need for missions.   After high school, he attended Prairie Bible College and completed the Explore Wilderness and Leadership program.  This program combined outdoor experiences with leadership training.  Brian continued to study at Prairie Bible College and completed his BA in Youth Ministry in 2009.  Before joining Royal Servants, Brian was a youth director at New Life Fellowship for three years.

Brian has a passion for youth, missions, and Jesus.  He desires to see youth know Him, grow in their relationship with Him, and become leaders in the world.  He also loves the outdoors and sports.  Rock climbing, soccer, whitewater rafting, and hiking are just a few of his favorite activities.  He is always excited for the opportunity to help other people, especially youth, experience the outdoors as he does.

The beginning of Bethany's story is the same as Brian's.  She also grew up in a pastor's family and went on four mission trips with Royal Servants during high school.  These trips taught her more about having a relationship with Jesus and living a life that honors Him.  After graduating from high school, she attended Prairie Bible College, earning an AA in Bible and Missions.  She later completed her BS in Business Management and Communication from Corban College in 2009.

Bethany desires to see today's youth experience a relationship with God and the fulfilling life He offers.  She also believes in missions, both overseas and at home.  Along with Brian, she loves being outside.  She enjoys rock climbing, running, whitewater rafting, and working alongside Brian.

If you ask either of them what made the greatest impact on who they are today, they would answer "Royal Servants."  Because of this enormous influence, they truly believe in the mission of the organization.  They joined Royal Servants in 2009 with the desire to help create the same experiences they had for the youth of today's church.  There is something amazing that occurs in a youth's relationship with God-and ultimately, their life-when they travel on a mission trip, and that's what they're passionate about.
