Go on a mission trip adventure to Nepal with Royal Servants.  The Himalayas.  Rickshaws, lepers, and orphans.  Hindus and Buddhists, and Indians.

Quick Facts

Students: June 26 to August 7, 2010 [6 weeks]
Staff Disciplers:

June 19 to August 7, 2010 [7 weeks]

If you are looking for an adventure, then you should consider Nepal. Almost every aspect of Nepali culture is different than ours, and you are going to end up falling in love with the people! You will need to raise $4,095 plus your spending money and the cost of a visa (see below).

The Heart of Your Ministry...

You will conduct dramatic public performances in villages outside of Katmandu and in Nepali schools where Hinduism is the official religion.  You will draw crowds and then share with them one-on-one about Jesus Christ.  It is a great chance to talk about their beliefs and yours.

You and your team members will visit orphanages and show the children God's love by caring for them.  These lonely kids are going to mob you, and to be honest, you are going to fall in love with them!

You are also going to trek through rice paddies to minister in a leper colony.  Learn how to love untouchables by sitting in their world, playing games, and spending time with them.  There is a church next door; students from Royal Servants have played a critical role in planting and building it!

You will also visit with Shanta, who has a ministry that rescues young girls from sex trafficking.  They have been stolen, lied to, and sold into the evil human trafficking system.  Santa brings them to a "safe home" and helps them re-enter their homes and villages. You will meet these girls and pray for this critical work.

Adventure...

Hike through the Himalayan Mountains and pass through primitive villages where you will learn what it means to need to wash your feet.  You won't see Mt. Everest, but if the weather is clear you will be awestruck at the sight of Annapurna I.  At over 24,000 ft, it is the 10th highest mountain in the world!

Part of the Nepal adventure is learning to eat curry and dal bat (rice and lentils) with your fingers.   Drink Nepali tea, shop the local markets of Tamel, buy hand-made bags, jewelry, and Gurkha knives (careful, they're sharp).

Did we mention adventure?  The very word was invented to describe the incredible ministry you will experience in Nepal!

New Friends...

When you travel halfway around the world together, you get to know one another pretty well!  You will forge deep friendships as you travel and minister together in Nepal.  At the end of a hard day of ministry, you will appreciate the time with your friends to worship and praise the Lord together.  You are going to learn about Kingdom love and develop friendships that honor the Lord and make Him smile.

Spiritual Transformation...

Encounter a people whose religion readily accepts Jesus as another of the millions of gods--literally--they can worship.  Climb 365 steps to the Monkey Temple (a step for every day of the year) and watch people prostrate themselves before idols.  The Lord will use Nepal to challenge you to know what you believe and communicate it to people who are already "spiritual."  Your heart will break in good ways as you help these lovely people know about the one true God!

Your spiritual growth is a priority on all of our mission trips.  When you immerse yourself in the Bible during your quiet times, share in your discipleship groups, memorize scripture, pray together, and worship together on a daily basis, you'll grow!  That transformation will come full-circle as you share your faith, giving away to others what God is giving to you!
