College Credit

If you are in college and you come as a staff discipler, you may be able to receive some college-credit for your experience.   Many college students do.  The experience as a staff discipler often qualifies as a youth ministry internship, satisfies community service hours, fulfills school mission credits and other school requirements.  Talk to your professors, or give us a call at (763) 535-9555 X720, and we'll help you decide the best way to pursue your credits.

Help Pay for College

If you raise more support than is required for your airfare, ground fees, and spending money, you can have excess contributions paid to you as a stipend for your summer of service.  You must have already completed one year of college study prior to your mission trip.  Excess contributions are not available for stipends to students who have just graduated or are still in high school.  Excess contributions, less a 10% administration fee, will be distributed, upon request, to you following the completion of your mission trip.  The stipend must be requested in writing.  The IRS allows those who participate as adults-following one year of college-to receive the stipend as wages.  If you receive a stipend, you will be required by the IRS to report the entire stipend as income on your taxes.
