Grow As You Go

Serving as summer staff discipler on a Royal Servants mission trip is not just about evangelism, service, or the students in your discipleship group.  The experience is also about you.  At the same time you serve in this special leadership role, we are encouraging you and creating opportunities to grow, deepen and develop your spiritual life.

Your relationship with the Father will be strengthened and built through prayer, worship, scripture memory, as well as daily Bible study and small group discussions.  This summer you won't just be leading your students; you’ll be building community within your discipleship group and creating an environment where growth and transformation will happen.  You’ll encourage your students to explore God’s Word, help them work through personal issues, and come alongside them as they navigate the deep waters of spiritual growth.  All the while, you’ll be modeling what it means to be a committed follower of Christ.

Sound scary?  It can be.   Being in leadership tests each individual uniquely.  When you serve as a summer staff discipler God is going to use the experience to grow you in ways that surprise, challenge, and excite you.  You’re going to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus, see God work in and through you in tangible ways, and have a lot of fun at the same time!
